Kirkland Rooter · Diagnostic

You rank #1 on the map, you spend $200 a day on ads, and the phone still barely rings.

We measured your whole online setup — the map, the website, your Google rankings, your reviews, and what a search actually costs. Getting found isn't the problem; you're found, and you're paying to be found on top of that. What's broken is the stretch between someone finding you and actually calling. Here's all of it, good and bad.

What's working

You've already earned the hard part.

Before the problems — here's what you've got right, and it's the part most shops never manage.

You're the #1 plumber on the Eastside map

We scanned 90 points across Kirkland and the surrounding Eastside for 10 services. You hold more top-3 map spots than any of the 944 businesses that showed up — ahead of Roto-Rooter.

MEASURED · #1 of 944 · 32% of the map

4.9 stars, 564 reviews, still climbing

New reviews land most weeks. That kind of reputation takes years to build and can't be faked.

You rank well for your core services

For rooter, drain cleaning, and sewer work you're at or near the top across most of the area.

MEASURED · top-3 on 8 of 10 services

So people are finding you. Whatever's costing you calls happens after that.

Your live map scan

Here's what the map actually looks like.

Real screenshots from the scan we ran. Each dot is a point on the map; green means you land in the top 3 there. Tap any one to open the live version.

The last two — water heater repair and water leak detection — are the exception. They're services you offer but barely rank for. Worth going after.

How much demand there actually is

Ranking #1 only matters if people are searching. Not many are — at least not here.

We pulled the real monthly search counts for each service, in each of your cities. This is the part that reframes everything.

On the Eastside, most of your services get about 10 searches a month per city. "Plumber" is the only real volume, and even that's a few hundred — where you rank #3, not #1. The actual demand is in Seattle: "plumber" there is 2,400 a month, and that's where you don't rank yet. Being #1 across the Eastside is real, but it's #1 of a small pool. Two things follow from this: the growth is in Seattle and in the broad "plumber" searches, and the few people who do search here are worth a lot — clicks on these terms run $40–$150 apiece.

How a search turns into a call

Getting found is only the first step.

STEP 1 ✓

STEP 2 ✓

STEP 3

STEP 4
They trust it
STEP 5
They call

You win the first two steps. The calls get lost in the last three — on your own website. Here's where.

What's costing you calls

Two problems on the website, both measured.

Your website is slow on phones

On a phone, your homepage takes 6.4 seconds to show its main content. Google considers anything over 4 seconds poor. Most people won't wait that long — and both your map clicks and your ad clicks land on this same page.

MEASURED · 6.4s mobile load · speed score 68/100

Your phone number is wrong in one place

One of your service pages lists (203) 669-4930 — a Connecticut area code — instead of your real (206) number, and the number is coded inconsistently across the site. A call to the wrong number goes nowhere.

MEASURED · (203) typo · inconsistent phone links

Where the $200 a day goes

Your ad budget, click by click.

We can't see inside the account yet, but the math doesn't need it. Your own spend and the real cost per click tell the story.

$200/day
about $6,000 a month in ad spend
$40–$75
real cost per click — "emergency plumber" runs $74, "rooter" $62
~3–5 clicks/day
that's all $200 buys at these prices — roughly 120 a month
6.4-second page
each click lands on the slow page above; most leave before it loads
? calls
with no call tracking, you can't see the few that get through

It isn't that ads don't work. You're buying a handful of expensive clicks a day and sending them to a page that loses them, with no way to see what converts. The first thing we'd do is get into the account and show you where the $6,000 a month is going.

The website itself

There's a lot wrong under the hood.

You can't see any of this — it's in the code — but Google reads all of it. It's why you're buried in regular search even though you own the map.

The map is working in spite of the website, not because of it.

The bottom line

A strong position with some expensive leaks.

You've got the reputation and the map rankings most shops never get. But the calls are getting lost between being found and the phone ringing — a slow website, a wrong phone number, ad money you can't track, and a site Google doesn't trust — on top of a local market that's smaller than it looks. All of it is fixable, and none of it means starting over.
